CUP AND VASE DRAWS
Posted by Brian Spurrell on 18 August 2020
In a pre-season like no other, we finally have some dates for the diary as the FA Cup and FA Vase draws have been published this afternoon.
In the FA Cup, we visit Kennington of SCEFL1 in the Extra Preliminary Round on Tuesday 1 September.
We met Kennington in our SCEFL1 promotion season 2018-19, drawing 0-0 home and losing 3-1 away.
The winners of the tie host either Alfold (Southern Combination Premier) or Shoreham (Southern Combination Division 1) in the Preliminary Round on Saturday 12 September, neither of whom have played us before. Both Kennington and Alfold are making their debut in the FA Cup this season.
In the FA Vase we've been drawn at home to Loxwood (Southern Combination Premier) in the first qualifying round on Saturday 19 September.
We've met Loxwood once before, losing 1-0 at home in the FA Cup extra preliminary round on 8 August 2016.
The winners of the tie host either Colliers Wood United (Combined Counties Premier) or Mile Oak (Southern Combination Division 1) in the second qualifying round on Saturday 10 October. We've met our potential second qualifying round opponents once each, beating Colliers Wood 4-1 in the London Senior Cup 1st round on 10 October 2006 (current Chairman Adrian Deane scoring twice!) and losing 2-1 at Mile Oak in the Vase 1st qualifying round on 10 September 2016.
