Erith & Belvedere are very pleased to announce the signing of Samuel Cassell, Sam joins from Bridon Ropes.
The Deres have been drawn at home in the FA Cup with the visit of Peacehaven & Telscombe on either Saturday 10th or Sunday 12th August, the winners are away to either Chertsey Town or Cobham in the following round on Saturday 24th August. The Deres were also drawn at home in the FA Vase on either Saturday 31st August or Sunday 1st September when we play Fire United in the 1st qualifying round.
Deres have never played either Peacehaven & Telscombe or Fire United (a Brazilian community club based in Plaistow) before. We met Chertsey in the Athenian League in 1977-78, drawing at home and losing away, and have twice knocked Cobham out of the FA Vase, in 1983 and 2006 - the latter memorable for a 4-goal display by Steve White.
