This season was always going to have its ups and downs for us at K Sports. Having to recruit an entire squad at the start of this season with arguably the lowest budget in the league, it was never going to be a stroll in the park.
We had a cracking start to the season with some exceptional wins, and we were very hopeful for a top-half finish at least. The boys were firing and confidence was high, but over the past couple of months we have found it very tough to grind out a result with some poor performances; some good ones and some unfortunate ones.
Lady Luck never seems to be on your side when you’re in the league’s lower echelons. Saturday, will of course, be a very difficult game against a very good side. But I truly believe, and as we have proved already this season, we have the quality to beat anyone in this league.
So, onwards and upwards and let’s hope if we play as well as we know we can, Lady Luck will be on our side - for a change - on Saturday afternoon.
