Snodland Town 4 Deres 4

The Deres' second pre-season friendly produced a thriller behind closed doors at Snodland, where the Deres gave their hosts a four-goal start and came back to draw in punishing 30something-degree heat.
Dan Ashton gave Snodland the initiative with a brace of goals on 2 and 10 minutes, and two goals from Winch, the first of them from the spot, made it 4-0 after 40 minutes.
But the Deres pulled one back before half-time through Malik Nosike. Early in the second half Kameiko Pope-Campbell, who had scored twice in the previous friendly at Elmstead, converted a penalty to make it 4-2, and then James Hawkins, scorer of the Deres' first goal under Del Oldfield's management back in March, notched twice to bring the scores level.
It was a very good workout for the boys and we wish Snodland good luck for the new season, whenever that might be!
